Aepryus

I originally created this site as an experiment in trying to sell some applications that I had developed, but that never really went very well. I have spent much of the 10 years since graduation developing applications for various companies. Such development work has never been a great passion of mine.

Consequently, I have been thinking both actively and passively about computers, evolution, philosophy, politics and other topics. I believe I have figured some things out and I have been meaning to try and organize my thoughts on paper, but I have difficulty working in a vaccuum. So, what I am planning to do is to use this website as my work space and hopefully people will like or hate what I have to say enough to provide feedback. This will be a significantly more personal website than the previous.

Ultimately, I hope to be able to create a paper on my thoughts as well as a companion computer application. However, possibly not everything here will be related to this primary task.

Disclaimer

I have not earned the right to speak about the these topics; I am not a professor; I do not have a Ph.D.; I have not run any experiments; I am not well read.

But, that doesn’t necessarily mean I’m wrong.

The scope and ambitions of this project could be viewed as severe and as such it’s difficult to avoid the appearance that this is anything, but a spectacular act of hubris.

The only thing I can do is apologize and ask the reader to judge the ideas on their own merits.
